AdvanTex® Wastewater Treatment Systems are a dependable, proven technology for the long-term treatment of domestic-and commercial-strength wastewater to advanced treatment levels including nitrogen-reduction. AdvanTex® treatment units consist of sturdy, watertight basins filled with a lightweight, highly absorbent, engineered textile media that treats a tremendous amount of wastewater in a small space. 

AdvanTex® systems are configured like a recirculating sand filter — a packed-bed filter technology that Orenco engineers have helped to perfect since the 1970s. Like recirculating sand filters, AdvanTex® is reliable, uses minimal power, requires low-maintenance, and has superior serviceability and longevity compared to conventional wastewater treatment technologies. 

Over 35,000 AdvanTex® Wastewater Treatment Systems have been installed in more than 70 countries around the world. AdvanTex® systems can treat tens of thousands of litres daily for a community – without a single pump greater than 1 hp. That means low power usage for customers. And because the system is watertight and includes emergency storage, there’s virtually no chance of overflows, odors, or other environmental impacts. 

Monitored via telemetry, the system requires a minimum of maintenance and adjustment, and any malfunctions are promptly detected. There is no upper limit on the size of systems.

For the commercial designer and builder, the modular design of larger AdvanTex® products allows additional treatment capacity to be added as needed  - avoiding oversized, unneeded infrastructure.
